Evidence-Based & Somatic Trauma Methods

Therapy Approach & Therapy Modalities

Working at the root level using EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic therapy.

Modality 01

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing)

EMDR is an integrative trauma-focused therapy designed to help your brain process stuck memories. Using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones), EMDR re-activates the natural healing mechanisms of the brain, releasing emotional distress associated with past painful events.

Modality 02

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)

DBR accesses the midbrain (superior colliculus and locus coeruleus) where early threat and attachment shock register before conscious thought occurs. DBR is especially transformative for deep-seated attachment trauma, panic, and shock responses that don't yield to talking therapy.

Modality 03

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Parts Work

IFS recognizes that your mind is made up of multiple "parts" (managers, firefighters, exiles) alongside an innate, core Self. I help you build compassionate relationships with protective parts, helping them release burdening roles and unburden inner wounds.

Modality 04

Somatic & Polyvagal Integration

Somatic therapy pays attention to physical cues—tightness, bracing, numbness, or racing heart rates—to gently expand your window of tolerance and regulate your autonomic nervous system safely.
